The Standing Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met at 9:02 a.m. this day, at the Crowne Plaza Georgia Hotel, Vancouver, the Chair, Wayne Easter, presiding.

Member(s) of the Committee present: Sarkis Assadourian, Yvan Bernier, John Cummins, John Duncan, Wayne Easter, Lawrence O'Brien, Carmen Provenzano, Lou Sekora, Peter Stoffer.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Alan Nixon, Research Officer.

Witness(es): From the Sierra Legal Defence Fund: Karen Wristen, Executive Director. From the David Suzuki Foundation: Lynn Hunter,Fisheries and Aquaculture Specialist. From Future Sea Technologies: Craig Williams, President and Chief Executive Officer. From the British Columbia Legislative Committee: Karen Wilson. As Individuals: Robert Corlett; Dr. Eric Taylor; Charles H. McKee.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on Aquaculture.

The witnesses made statements and answered questions.
