The Sub-Committee on Tax Equity for Canadian Families with Dependent Children of the Standing Committee on Finance met at 1:11 p.m. this day, in Opus II, Delta Montréal Hotel, Montreal, the Chair, Nick Discepola, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Serge Cardin, Nick Discepola, Michelle Dockrill, Paul Forseth, John Herron and Paul Szabo.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Julie Cusson, Analyst.

Pursuant to the motion adopted by the Standing Committee on Finance, dated March 17, 1999, the Sub-Committee resumed its study on Tax Fairness for Canadian Families with Dependent Children.
Gilbert Claes from "Après Rupture – Journal d’action pour les liens père enfants" made an opening statement and answered questions.
Annie Godbout from "Association des secondes épouses du Québec" and Rock Turcot from "Association Lien Pères Enfants de Québec made opening statements and, with the other witnesses, answered questions.
Jacques Pettigrew made an opening statement and answered questions.
Pierre Sauvageau made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 2:47 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
