Q-2712 — November 30, 2020 — Mr. Allison (Niagara West) — With regard to conditions placed on individuals receiving national interest exemptions related to travel restrictions or quarantine requirements during the pandemic: (a) how many individuals have received national interest exemptions since March 1, 2020; (b) of the individuals in (a), how many have had conditions placed on their exemption; (c) what is the breakdown of the type of condition placed on individuals (geographic restriction, limit on time in Canada, etc.), including the number of individuals subject to each type of condition; and (d) what costs have been incurred by the government in relation to faciliting national interest exemptions, broken down by item and type of expense?
Q-2722 — November 30, 2020 — Mr. Garrison (Esquimalt—Saanich—Sooke) — With regard to Health Canada’s approval of the first HIV self-test kits for use in Canada and the government’s promise to distribute 60,000 of these self-test kits: (a) how and through what program will the government distribute these test kits; (b) how many of the 60,000 self-test kits will be designated for distribution to communities who face greater barriers to accessing testing and in particular to guarantee access to Indigenous, racialized and low income people, and those who live in rural and northern communities; and (c) what are the long-term plans to ensure continued broad and free distribution to those most at risk?
Q-2732 — November 30, 2020 — Mr. d'Entremont (West Nova) — With regard to the ongoing issues related to the Indigenous Nova Scotia lobster fishery, since November 20, 2019: (a) how many briefings has the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans had from the departmental scientists in charge of Lobster Fishing Areas (LFA) 33, LFA 34 and LFA 35 regarding the state of the lobster fisheries; (b) what are the details of the briefings in (a), including (i) the date, (ii) subjects of the briefings, (iii) whether the briefing was requested by the minister or recommended by the department; (c) how many meetings has the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans had with stakeholders regarding the state of the lobster fisheries; and (d) what are the details of all meetings in (c), including the (i) date, (ii) meeting summary (iii) stakeholder groups in attendance, (iv) location?

M-56 — November 30, 2020 — Ms. Kwan (Vancouver East) — That the House:
(a) recognize that,
(i) 3,000 new units of rapid housing is not enough when over 235,000 individuals experience homelessness in Canada each year, combined with additional strain brought on by the pandemic,
(ii) Indigenous peoples are 11 times more likely to use a homeless shelter,
(iii) people living in poverty face the greatest barriers for following public health measures and are disproportionately affected by COVID-19,
(iv) the 2017 National Housing Strategy nor any subsequent policy provided specific funding or policies for urban or rural and Indigenous housing; and
(b) call on the government to,
(i) implement an Indigenous-led urban, rural and northern Indigenous strategy,
(ii) accelerate action on Indigenous homelessness,
(iii) increase the supply of stable, safe, affordable housing by building 73,000 new units of housing for urban, rural and northern Indigenous peoples as called for by the Canadian Housing and Renewal Association,
(iv) create a dedicated rapid housing stream for rural, urban and northern Indigenous peoples to provide winter shelter and a place to isolate from COVID-19,
(v) provide support for tenants’ well-being and long-term success with wraparound Indigenous services.
