M-128 — March 23, 2017 — Mr. Kent (Thornhill) — That, in the opinion of the House, the extreme socialist policies and corruption of President Nicolas Maduro and his predecessor President Hugo Chavez have imposed considerable suffering on the people of Venezuala and therefore the House call upon the government to: (a) develop a plan to provide humanitarian aid directly to Venezuela’s people, particularly with respect to alleviating the severe shortages of food and medical supplies; (b) condemn the continued unjust imprisonment and treatment of political opponents who, as reported by Luis Almagro, Secretary General of the Organization of American States on March 14, 2017, “fear repression, torture, and even death”; (c) call upon the Government of Venezuela to respect the right of the people of Venezuela to hold a free and fair referendum to restore democratic rule in their country; and (d) recognize that Canada’s foreign policy should always be rooted in protecting and promoting freedom, democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. M-128 — 23 mars 2017 — M. Kent (Thornhill) — Que, de l'avis de la Chambre, les politiques socialistes extrêmes et la corruption du Président Nicolas Maduro et de son prédécesseur, le Président Hugo Chavez, imposent des souffrances considérables à la population du Venezuela et, pour ces raisons, la Chambre demande au gouvernement de : a) créer un plan pour offrir de l’aide humanitaire directement au peuple du Venezuela, particulièrement pour soulager la pénurie sévère de nourriture et de fournitures médicales; b) condamner l’emprisonnement continu et le traitement injuste des opposants politiques qui, selon les propos tenus le 14 mars 2017 par Luis Almagro, secrétaire général de l'Organisation des États américains, « craignent la répression, la torture et même la mort »; c) demande au gouvernement du Venezuela de respecter le droit du peuple vénézuélien de tenir un référendum libre et équitable pour rétablir la démocratie dans leur pays; d) reconnaître que la politique étrangère du Canada devrait toujours être ancrée dans la protection et la promotion de la liberté, de la démocratie, des droits de la personne et de la primauté du droit.
M-129 — March 23, 2017 — Mr. Carrie (Oshawa) — That in the opinion of the House the government should: (a) report annually to Parliament on the financial impact, past and projected, of the federally-mandated price on carbon on Canadian households and employers; and (b) request that the Standing Committee on Finance undertake a study on how the government could examine approaches and methods to ensure maximum transparency for consumers related to the costs of carbon pricing, including a requirement for a dedicated line item on invoices and receipts, and report its findings and recommendations to the House within four months of the adoption of this motion. M-129 — 23 mars 2017 — M. Carrie (Oshawa) — Que, de l’avis de la Chambre, le gouvernement devrait : a) présenter au Parlement un rapport annuel sur les répercussions financières antérieures et prévues, sur les ménages et les employeurs du Canada, de la tarification du carbone qu’il a imposée; b) demander au Comité permanent des finances d’entreprendre une étude sur les approches et les méthodes que le gouvernement pourrait examiner pour assurer un maximum de transparence aux consommateurs en ce qui concerne la tarification du carbone, notamment l’obligation de l’inscrire comme élément distinct sur les factures et les reçus, et de faire rapport de ses conclusions et de ses recommandations à la Chambre dans les quatre mois suivant l’adoption de la présente motion.
M-130 — March 23, 2017 — Ms. Sgro (Humber River—Black Creek) — That the House formally underscore its commitment to the goal of ending homelessness within the next ten years by: (a) developping a national housing strategy; and (b) working with stakeholders to promote that strategy broadly. M-100 — February 13, 2017 — Resuming consideration of the motion of Mrs. Mendès (Brossard—Saint-Lambert), seconded by Mr. Whalen (St. John's East), — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should recognize the important role co-operatives play in the economy and ensure that they continue to thrive by taking concrete steps such as: (a) developing, in consultation with provincial and territorial governments, Indigenous communities and the co-operative sector, a federal co-operative strategy to promote and support Canada’s co-operative sector; and (b) providing periodic progress reports on pre-established goals and targets. M-100 — 13 février 2017 — Reprise de l'étude de la motion de Mme Mendès (Brossard—Saint-Lambert), appuyée par M.
