Q-2702 — May 13, 2008 — Mr. Casey (Cumberland—Colchester—Musquodoboit Valley) — Prior to the government's creation of the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer and with regard to government funding towards cancer research between the years 2000 and 2008, how much federal funding was granted by the government to private research organizations, hospitals, university research teams and, if possible, how much of this funding was delivered for research by specific cancer types?

M-491 — May 13, 2008 — Mr. Siksay (Burnaby—Douglas) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should respond to the concerns of Canadian real estate agents and: (a) delay the enforcement of new anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing regulations until such time as clear guidelines are developed and after an appropriate period of time to allow for the implementation of such guidelines by the real estate industry; (b) rescind the requirement for real estate agents to identify and record the personal information of individuals with whom they have no legal relationship; (c) extend any requirements made of real estate agents to the private sale and for-sale-by-owner industries; (d) initiate a public campaign to educate the general public with respect to the mandatory new client identification, record keeping, and reporting requirements for real estate transactions as authorized under the Act to amend the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and the Income Tax Act and to make a consequential amendment to another Act (S.C. 2006, ch. 12).
M-492 — May 13, 2008 — Mr. Crête (Montmagny—L'Islet—Kamouraska—Rivière-du-Loup) — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should follow up on a series of changes to currency in circulation in Canada as recommended by the Mouvement Desjardins: withdraw the five-cent coin, replace the five-dollar bill with a metal coin and issue a new series of small denomination coins such as 10-cent, 20-cent and 50-cent coins.
