Pursuant to subsection 21(1) of the Electoral Boundaries Readjustment Act, R.S. 1985, c. E-3, the Report of the Federal Electoral Boundaries Commission for the Province of Quebec, 2022 was tabled in the House of Commons on Wednesday, February 1st, 2023, and referred to this Committee for consideration of any objections filed by Members of Parliament within the 30-day period prescribed by subsection 22(1) of the Act.
Pursuant to subsection 22(1) of the Act, the Committee hereby recommends that the period of 30 sitting days provided for the consideration of objections to the said Report be extended to Friday, June 9, 2023.
