Thursday, November 6, 2014

The Standing Committee on Natural Resources met in camera at 11:05 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Leon Benoit, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Leon Benoit, Kelly Block, Chris Charlton, Joan Crockatt, Ryan Leef, Hon. Geoff Regan and Brad Trost.

Acting Members present: Malcolm Allen for Christine Moore, Guy Lauzon for Blaine Calkins and Mike Sullivan for Linda Duncan.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jean-Luc Bourdages, Analyst ; Mohamed Zakzouk, Analyst.

The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.

It was agreed, — That the Committee share the cost of hospitality arising from a working lunch held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 for a delegation of the Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy of the German Bundestag, with the Standing Committee on International Trade, to a maximum of $400.

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee undertake a study, as suggested by the Standing Committee on Finance in their motion adopted on Monday, November 3, 2014, of the subject matter of clauses 376 to 381 of Bill C-43, A second Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on February 11, 2014 and other measures.

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the study of the subject matter of clauses 376 to 381 of Bill C-43, A second Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on February 11, 2014 and other measures, members of the Committee submit to the Clerk of the Committee, by Friday, November 7, 2014 at 5:00 p.m., their prioritized lists of witnesses.

At 11:27 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
