The Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in a televised session at 3:34 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Phil McColeman, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Scott Armstrong, Ray Boughen, Brad Butt, Rodger Cuzner, Jim Eglinski, Colin Mayes and Phil McColeman.

Acting Members present: Tarik Brahmi for Marie-Claude Morin, Don Davies for Jinny Jogindera Sims, Libby Davies for Sadia Groguhé, Jamie Nicholls for Marie-Claude Morin and Kyle Seeback for Scott Armstrong.

Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2015-16: Vote 1 under CANADA MORTGAGE AND HOUSING CORPORATION, Vote 1 under CANADIAN CENTRE FOR OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY, Votes 1 and 5 under EMPLOYMENT AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT, Votes 1 and 5 under NATIONAL CAPITAL COMMISSION, referred to the Committee on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.

The Chair calls Vote 1 under CANADA MORTGAGE AND HOUSING CORPORATION.

The hon. Pierre Poilievre made a statement and, with Ian Shugart and Louise Levonian, answered questions.

At 4:35 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:38 p.m., the sitting resumed.
