The Standing Committee on Finance met in camera at 9:32 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Hon. Scott Brison, Hon. Ron Cannan, Raymond Côté, Nathan Cullen, Pierre Dionne Labelle, James Rajotte, Andrew Saxton and Dave Van Kesteren.

 

Acting Members present: Brad Butt for Joyce Bateman and Tilly O'Neill Gordon for Mark Adler.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: June Dewetering, Chief Analyst; Mark Mahabir, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, February 24, 2015, the Committee resumed its study of Terrorist Financing in Canada and Abroad.
 

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

 

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Terrorist Financing in Canada and Abroad: Needed Federal Actions".

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee append to its report dissenting and/or supplementary opinions from the recocgnized political parties, immediately after the signature of the Chair, provided that they are no more than five pages in length and be submitted electronically, in both official languages, to the Clerk of the Committee, no later than 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2015.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

 

It was agreed, — That a news release be prepared by the Analysts and the Clerk, in consultation with the Chair, for publication on the Committee's website and for distribution upon presentation of the report to the House.

 

At 10:55 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
