The Standing Committee on International Trade met at 11:04 a.m. this day, in Room 306, La Promenade Building, the Chair, the Hon. Rob Merrifield, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Hon. Ron Cannan, Don Davies, Russ Hiebert, Randy Hoback, Ed Holder, Laurin Liu, Hon. Rob Merrifield, Marc-André Morin, Erin O'Toole and Massimo Pacetti.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Alexandre Gauthier, Analyst; Pascal Tremblay, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Canada's Technology Triangle Inc.: John Jung, Chief Executive Officer. Canadian Shipowners Association: Robert Lewis-Manning, President; Debbie Murray, Director, Policy and Regulatory Affairs. As an individual: Marc-André Gagnon, Assistant Professor, School of Public Policy and Administration, Carleton University. BlackBerry: Morgan Elliott, Senior Director, Government Relations .

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 29, 2013, the Committee resumed its study of the Canada-European Union comprehensive economic and trade agreement (CETA).
 

John Jung and Robert Lewis-Manning made statements and, with Debbie Murray, answered questions.

 

At 11:58 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 12:07 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Morgan Elliott and Marc-André Gagnon made statements and answered questions.

 

At 1:02 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
