The Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs met at 8:48 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Royal Galipeau, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Sylvain Chicoine, Royal Galipeau, Hon. Laurie Hawn, Bryan Hayes, Pierre Lemieux, Wladyslaw Lizon, Ted Opitz, Peter Stoffer and Frank Valeriote.

 

Acting Members present: Fin Donnelly for John Rafferty.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Isabelle Lafontaine-Émond, Analyst; Jean-Rodrigue Paré, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, May 14, 2015, the Committee resumed its study of the subject matter of Division 17 of Part 3 of Bill C-59, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on April 21, 2015 and other measures.
 

At 8:49 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 8:49 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair send a letter to the Chair of the Standing Committee on Finance stating that the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs has achieved the objective that they set, and that the Standing Committee on Veterans Affairs has no amendments to propose to the clauses it was asked to study of Bill C-59, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on Thursday, May 7, 2015, and other measures.

 

It was agreed, — That a proposed budget in the amount of $ 12,800, for the study of the subject matter of Division 17 of Part 3 of Bill C-59, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on April 21, 2015 and other measures, be adopted.

 

At 9:28 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
