The Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in camera at 11:04 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Ed Komarnicki, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Marjolaine Boutin-Sweet, Brad Butt, Chris Charlton, Rodger Cuzner, Joe Daniel, Ed Komarnicki, François Lapointe, Kellie Leitch, Colin Mayes, Phil McColeman and Devinder Shory.

 

Acting Members present: Gordon Brown for Kellie Leitch and Manon Perreault for Ryan Cleary.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Sandra Gruescu, Analyst; Chantal Collin, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)d) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, January 31, 2013, the Committee resumed its study of exploring employment opportunities for persons with disabilities.
 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

At 11:11 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:52 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: "Exploring Employment Possibilities of Persons with Disabilities".

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and analysts be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to Standing Order 109, the Committee request that the Government table a comprehensive response to the report.

 

ORDERED, — That the Chair present the report to the House.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee append to its report a dissenting opinion from the New Democratic Party and the Liberal Party provided that it is no more than five (5) pages in length and submitted electronically to the Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, in both official languages.

 

At 12:20 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
