The Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 8:52 a.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Ed Komarnicki, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Marjolaine Boutin-Sweet, Brad Butt, Chris Charlton, Rodger Cuzner, Joe Daniel, Ed Komarnicki, François Lapointe, Kellie Leitch, Colin Mayes, Phil McColeman and Devinder Shory.

 

Acting Members present: Annick Papillon for Ryan Cleary and Mike Sullivan for Chris Charlton.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Sandra Gruescu, Analyst; André Léonard, Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, September 27, 2012, the Committee resumed its study of economic opportunities for young apprentices.
 

Claude Bégin, Robert Blakely and Amy Huziak made statements and, with John Hugh Edwards, answered questions.

 

At 9:48 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:56 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Ali Ghiassi, Piero Cherubini, Nobina Robinson, Ken Doyle, Anna Toneguzzo and Henry Reiser made statements and answered questions.

 

At 10:47 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
