The Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics met in camera at 11:00 a.m. this day, in Room C-110, 1 Wellington Street, the Chair, Jean Crowder, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Scott Andrews, Charlie Angus, Brad Butt, Blaine Calkins, John Carmichael, Jean Crowder, Patricia Davidson, Dean Del Mastro, Earl Dreeshen, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, Colin Mayes and Dany Morin.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Maxime-Olivier Thibodeau, Analyst; Erin Virgint, Research Assistant.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the Committee proceed to sit in public.

 

At 11:00 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:01 a.m., the sitting resumed in public.

 

Charlie Angus moved, — That the summons served to Adam Carroll on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, be rescinded.

Debate arose thereon.

 

At 11:03 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:05 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 

Blaine Calkins moved, — That the Committee proceed to sit in camera.

 

The question was put on the motion and it was agreed to on the following recorded division: YEAS: Brad Butt, Blaine Calkins, John Carmichael, Patricia Davidson, Dean Del Mastro, Earl Dreeshen, Colin Mayes — 7; NAYS: Scott Andrews, Charlie Angus, Pierre-Luc Dusseault, Dany Morin — 4.

 

At 11:30 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:32 a.m., the sitting resumed in camera.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee proceed to the orders of the day.

 
Pursuant to the Order of Reference of Wednesday, September 28, 2011, section 14.1 (1) of the Lobbying Act, and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, the Committee resumed the statutory review of the Lobbying Act.
 

The Committee commenced consideration of draft recommendations.

 

At 12:53 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
