The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met in camera at 11:11 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Joe Preston, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Harold Albrecht, Yvon Godin, Michel Guimond, Randy Hoback, Tom Lukiwski, Joe Preston, Marcel Proulx and Scott Reid.

 

Acting Members present: David J. McGuinty for Rodger Cuzner, Pierre A. Paquette for Claude DeBellefeuille and Lise Zarac for Hon. Marlene Jennings.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Andre Barnes, Analyst; Michel Bédard, Analyst; Nicolas Auclair, Analyst.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That Rob Walsh, the Law Clerk and Parliamentary Counsel, be invited to appear before the Committee on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, in relation to the study on a question of privilege relating to mailings sent to the ridings of Mount Royal and Sackville-Eastern Shore.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair and the Committee's staff prepare a plan for the calling of witnesses in relation to the study on a question of privilege relating to mailings sent to the ridings of Mount Royal and Sackville-Eastern Shore and present it to the Committee on Tuesday, March 30, 2010.

 

It was agreed, — That the Clerk in consultation with the Chair prepare a budget in relation to the study on a question of privilege relating to mailings sent to the ridings of Mount Royal and Sackville-Eastern Shore.

 

At 11:30 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
