The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in a televised session at 3:28 this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Yasmin Ratansi, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Siobhan Coady, Pat Martin, Richard Nadeau, Yasmin Ratansi and Chris Warkentin.

 

Acting Members present: Paul Calandra for Jacques Gourde, Bob Dechert for Patrick Brown, Michel Guimond for Diane Bourgeois, Candice Hoeppner for Rod Bruinooge, Guy Lauzon for Ed Holder and Alexandra Mendes for Martha Hall Findlay.

 

In attendance: House of Commons: Melanie Mortensen, Parliamentary Counsel (Legal). Library of Parliament: Philippe LeGoff, Analyst; Édison Roy-César, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Cassels, Brock & Blackwell LLP: Arthur Hamilton, Partner.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(c) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, the Committee resumed its study of renewable energy projects funded by the Government.
 

At 3:28 p.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit until 3:50 p.m.

 

Arthur Hamilton made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 3:50 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 4:14 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

The Committee resumed consideration of renewable energy projects funded by the Government. Questioning of the witness resumed.

 

At 4:40 p.m., by unanimous consent and pursuant to Standing Order 115(5), it was agreed that the Committee continue to sit until 5:10 p.m.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That Rahim Jaffer be summoned to appear before the Committee at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16, 2010.

 

At 5:10 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
