The Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills and Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in camera at 3:33 p.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Candice Hoeppner, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Ron Cannan, Raymonde Folco, Candice Hoeppner, Ed Komarnicki, Yves Lessard, Ben Lobb, Tony Martin, Hon. Maria Minna, Michael John Savage and Maurice Vellacott.

 

Acting Members present: Marc Lemay for Josée Beaudin and David Sweet for Rick Casson.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Chantal Collin, Analyst; André Léonard, Analyst.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, the Committee resumed its study of the Federal Contribution to Reducing Poverty in Canada.
 

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

 

At 4:36 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:13 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

By unanimous consent, it was agreed, — That, the motion moved by Tony Martin on Monday, April 19, 2010 regarding a list of all expenditure programs in relation to the Federal Government role in poverty reduction be withdrawn.
