The Standing Committee on Finance met at 8:46 a.m. this day, in Room C-120, 1 Wellington Street, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Kelly Block, Hon. Scott Brison, Robert Carrier, Shelly Glover, Russ Hiebert, Cathy McLeod, Thomas J. Mulcair, Massimo Pacetti, Daniel Paillé, James Rajotte, Paul Szabo and Mike Wallace.

Acting Members present: Dean Del Mastro for Mike Wallace and Bruce Stanton for Kelly Block.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Mark Mahabir, Analyst ; Brett Stuckey, Analyst.

Witnesses: Library of Parliament: Kevin Page, Parliamentary Budget Officer; Mostafa Askari, Assistant Parliamentary Budget Officer, Economic and Fiscal Analysis, Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer; Sahir Khan, Assistant Parliamentary Budget Officer, Expenditure and Revenue Analysis, Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer; Chris Matier, Senior Director, Economic and Fiscal Analysis, Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer; Jeff Danforth, Economic Advisor-Analyst, Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer. Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, November 17, 2010, the Committee resumed its study of government's economic update and fiscal projections.

Kevin Page made a statement and answered questions.

At 10:15 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 10:17 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Glen Hodgson, Alain Bridault and Ian Lee made statements and, with Hazel Corcoran, answered questions.

It was agreed, — That in relation to the study of Tax Evasion and Offshore Bank Accounts, the proposed budget in the amount of $35,050 be adopted.

At 11:44 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
