The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Kelly Block, Hon. Scott Brison, Robert Carrier, Bernard Généreux, Russ Hiebert, Ted Menzies, Thomas J. Mulcair, Massimo Pacetti, Daniel Paillé, James Rajotte, Paul Szabo and Mike Wallace.

Acting Members present: Libby Davies for Thomas J. Mulcair.

Pursuant to Standing Order 83.1, the Committee resumed its pre-budget consultations 2010.

John G. McAvity, Ross Creber, Mark Jamison, Michael Roschlau, Yves-Thomas Dorval, Natalie Bull and Marcel Lauzière made statements and, with Norma Kozhaya, answered questions.

At 5:01 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:07 p.m., the sitting resumed.

Nancy Hughes Anthony, Nobina Robinson, Avrim Lazar, Gerrid Gust, Geoff Hewson, Gilles Patry and Nicholas Gazzard made statements and, with Richard Phillips, answered questions.
