The Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics met in a televised session at 3:28 p.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, the Hon. Shawn Murphy, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Harold Albrecht, Hon. Carolyn Bennett, Kelly Block, Paul Calandra, Patricia Davidson, Hon. Wayne Easter, Hon. Shawn Murphy, Pierre Poilievre and Bill Siksay.

 

Acting Members present: Luc Desnoyers for Ève-Mary Thaï Thi Lac, Cathy McLeod for Kelly Block and Richard Nadeau for Carole Freeman.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Élise Hurtubise-Loranger, Analyst; Dara Lithwick, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Google Inc.: Jacob Glick, Canada Policy Counsel.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h)(vi) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, March 25 , 2010, the Committee resumed its study on Street imaging applications (Google, Canpages, etc.).
 

Jacob Glick made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 4:42 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

 

At 4:43 p.m., the Committee resumed sitting in camera.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h)(vi) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, March 25, 2010, the Committee resumed its study on street imaging applications (Google, Canpages, etc.).
 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)(h)(vi) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Tuesday, October 19, 2010, the Committee commenced its study on possible reports on the Commissioners' annual reports.
 

At 5:14 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
