The Standing Committee on Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics met at 11:05 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Paul Szabo, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Patricia Davidson, Hon. Wayne Easter, Judy Foote, Pierre Poilievre, Greg Rickford, Bill Siksay and Paul Szabo.

 

Acting Members present: Randy Hoback for Rick Casson, Mario Laframboise for Carole Freeman, Cathy McLeod for Kelly Block and Louis Plamondon for Ève-Mary Thaï Thi Lac.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Alysia Davies, Analyst; Dara Lithwick, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Treasury Board Secretariat: Denise Brennan, Director, Access to Information and Privacy; Donald Lemieux, Executive Director. Department of Human Resources and Skills Development: Jackie Holden, Director, Access to Information and Privacy. Department of Public Works and Government Services: Tom Makichuk, Director, Access to Information and Privacy. Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade: Monique McCulloch, Director, Access to Information and Privacy. Privy Council Office: Ann Wesch, Director, Access to Information and Privacy.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(3)h)(vi) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, April 1, 2010, the Committee resumed its study on allegations of interference in access to information requests.
 

Denise Brennan, Jackie Holden, Tom Makichuk, Monique McCulloch and Ann Wesch made statements and, with Donald Lemieux, answered questions.

 

At 12:59 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
