The Standing Committee on Natural Resources met in camera at 3:32 p.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Chair, Leon Benoit, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Mike Allen, David Anderson, Hon. Navdeep Bains, Leon Benoit, France Bonsant, Paule Brunelle, Nathan Cullen, Hon. Geoff Regan, Devinder Shory, Alan Tonks and Bradley R. Trost.

Acting Members present: Hon. Jim Abbott for Russ Hiebert, Don Davies for Nathan Cullen, Paul Dewar for Nathan Cullen and Glen Douglas Pearson for Hon. Geoff Regan.

Associate Members present: Cheryl Gallant.

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jean-Luc Bourdages, Analyst ; Mohamed Zakzouk, Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Thursday, February 12, 2009, the Committee resumed its study on the contribution of integrated approaches for providing energy services in Canadian communities.

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

It was agreed, — That the Committee immediately launch a study into the Atomic Energy Canada Limited facility at Chalk River and the status of the production of medical isotopes.

It was agreed, — That, whenever possible, all meetings on the study into the Atomic Energy Canada Limited facility at Chalk River and the status of the production of medical isotopes be televised.

At 5:26 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
