The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Diane Marleau, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Harold Albrecht, Diane Bourgeois, Hon. Diane Marleau, Richard Nadeau, Pierre Poilievre, Hon. Garth Turner and Chris Warkentin.

 

Acting Members present: Dean Del Mastro for James Moore.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Guy Beaumier, Analyst; Philippe Le Goff, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2007-2008: Vote 1 under GOVERNOR GENERAL; Vote 1 under PARLIAMENT; Votes 1, 5, 10 and 25 under PRIVY COUNCIL; Votes 1 and 5 under PUBLIC WORKS AND GOVERNMENT SERVICES; Votes 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 30 and 35 under TREASURY BOARD referred to the Committee on Tuesday, February 27, 2007.
 

The Chair called Vote 1 under GOVERNOR GENERAL.
