The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met at 3:31 this day, in Room 701, La Promenade Building, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: André Arthur, Hon. Maurizio Bevilacqua, Hon. Scott Brison, Paule Brunelle, Hon. Gerry Byrne, Colin Carrie, Brian Masse, Hon. Dan McTeague, James Rajotte, Bev Shipley, Dave Van Kesteren and Robert Vincent.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Lalita Acharya, Analyst.

 

Witnesses: Association québécoise des indépendants du pétrole: René Blouin, Senior Advisor; Pierre Crevier, President, Les Pétroles Crevier and member of the AQUIP's Economic Affairs Committee; Sonia Marcotte, President Director General. Gasoline at a far price: Frédéric Quintal, Spokesperson. Canadian Independent Petroleum Marketers Association: Jane Savage, President and Chief Executive Officer.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on May 14, 2007, the Committee resumed its study of Gas Prices and Refinery Margins.
 

Sonia Marcotte, Jane Savage and Frédéric Quintal each made an opening statement and, with Pierre Crevier and René Blouin, answered questions.

 

At 4:39 p.m., the Vice-Chair, Dan McTeague took the Chair.

 

At 4:46 p.m., the Chair took the Chair.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on March 21, 2007, the Committee resumed its study of Counterfeiting and Piracy of Intellectual Property.
 

At 5:12 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 5:15 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 

At 5:34 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
