The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, James Rajotte, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: André Arthur, Hon. Scott Brison, Hon. Gerry Byrne, Colin Carrie, Paul Crête, Hon. Dan McTeague, James Rajotte, Bev Shipley, Dave Van Kesteren and Robert Vincent.

 

Acting Members present: Alex Atamanenko for Brian Masse and Hon. Larry Bagnell for Hon. Maurizio Bevilacqua.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Dan Shaw, Analyst; Lalita Acharya, Analyst.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of the deregulation of telecommunications.
 

The Committee commenced consideration of a draft report.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the Committee's study of Canada's Access to Medecines Regime, Members submit their lists of potential witnesses to the Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2007.

 

It was agreed, — That, in relation to the Committee's study of Counterfeiting and piracy of intellectual property, Members submit their lists of potential witnesses to the Clerk as soon as possible.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study of the deregulation of telecommunications.
 

The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.

 

At 5:15 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
