On Thursday, June 7, 2007 and pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee adopted the following motion: |
Le jeudi 7 juin 2007 et conformément à l'article 108(2), le Comité a adopté la motion suivante : |
| That the Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration recommend to the House of Commons that all immigration applications from areas affected by war, civil strife, or natural disaster that are presently in the queue be immediately expedited. | Que le Comité permanent de la citoyenneté et de l'immigration recommande à la Chambre des communes que toutes les demandes d’immigration en attente qui émanent de régions affectées par la guerre, des conflits civils ou des catastrophes naturelles soient traitées sur-le-champ. |
| A copy of the relevant Minutes of Proceedings (Meeting 63) is tabled. | Un exemplaire des Procès-verbaux pertinents (séance no 63) est déposé. |

| DISSENTING OPINIONS FROM THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY MEMBERS | OPINIONS DISSIDENTES DES MEMBRES DU PARTI CONSERVATEUR |
| Standing Order 108(2)(e) clearly states that there must be either an examination, study, or at the very least a review of some kind by Parliamentarians before there can be a report to the House. Primarily for this reason we oppose the motion being reported to the House. | Le règlement 108(2)(e) stipule clairement qu'il doit y avoir soit un examen, une étude, ou pour le moins une révision quelconque par les parlementaires avant de remettre un rapport à la Chambre. C’est principalement pour cette raison nous nous opposons à cette soumission à la Chambre. |
