The Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs met in camera at 11:08 a.m. this day, in Room 112-N, Centre Block, the Chair, Hon. Don Boudria, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Hon. Don Boudria, Michel Guimond, Jay Hill, Hon. Judi Longfield, Pauline Picard and Scott Reid.

 

Associate Members present: Hon. Ed Broadbent, Joe Comartin, Marc Godbout, Loyola Hearn and Hon. Raymond Simard.

 

Other Members present: Jean-Claude D'Amours.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: James Robertson, Principal; Megan Furi, Analyst. House of Commons: Elizabeth B. Kingston, Committee Clerk.

 

Witnesses: High Commission for Australia: His Excellency William Fisher, High Commissioner.

 
Further to the Order of Reference of Thursday, November 25, 2004, the Committee proceeded to a briefing session on travel to Europe as part of its study on electoral reform.
 

Committee staff briefed the Members and answered questions.

 

At 11:41 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 11:51 a.m., the sitting resumed.

 
Further to the Order of Reference of Thursday, November 25, 2004, the Committee proceeded to a briefing session on travel to Australia and New Zealand as part of its study on electoral reform.
 

Committee staff briefed the Members and answered questions.

 

His Excellency William Fisher made a statement and answered questions.

 

At 12:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
