The Standing Committee on Human Resources, Skills Development, Social Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in camera at 11:13 a.m. this day, in Room 705, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Raymonde Folco, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Hon. Eleni Bakopanos, Jean-Claude D'Amours, Barry Devolin, Raymonde Folco, Paul Forseth, Christiane Gagnon, Ed Komarnicki, Yves Lessard, Tony Martin, Yasmin Ratansi and Peter Van Loan.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Kevin Kerr, Analyst.

 
The Committee proceeded to the consideration of matters related to Committee business.
 

It was agreed, — That the Committee would meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00 a.m. in La Promenade Building.

 

It was agreed, — That the Committee invite the Minister of Social Development and the Minister of Service Canada to appear in relation to the government responses to the following reports: “An Examination of New Directives Governing Contribution Agreements for Selected Programs Delivered on Behalf of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada” and “Accessibility for All”.

 

It was agreed, — That, pursuant to the motion adopted by the Committee on June 21st, 2005, the Committee study in the following order: Summer Work Employment Programs, Barriers to Mobility Among Workers and Aboriginal Labour Market Measures delivered by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair and the Clerk of the Committee, in consultation with members, prepare a scenario in accordance with the budget projection of $165,190 for possible travel by the Committee on the Canada Social Transfer and that it be studied by the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure.

 

At 12:16 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
