The Standing Committee on Citizenship and Immigration met at 1:08 p.m. this day, in the City of Waterloo Council Chambers, Waterloo, Ontario, the Chair, Andrew Telegdi, presiding.

 

Members of the Committee present: Colleen Beaumier, Roger Clavet, Bill Siksay, Andrew Telegdi and Lui Temelkovski.

 

Acting Members present: Michael Chong for Inky Mark and Nina Grewal for Diane Ablonczy .

 

In attendance: House of Commons: Jean-Philippe Brochu, Committee Clerk. Library of Parliament: Benjamin Dolin, Analyst.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, October 27, 2004, the Committee resumed its study of Family Reunification Issues.
 

Panel I.

Brice Balmer, Eunice Valenzuela, Marjan Maleki-Tehrani, Rajinder Verma, Abdi A. Hussein, Aislinn Clancy and Gordon Armstrong made statements and, with other witnesses answered questions.

 

At 2:38 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 2:49 p.m., the sitting resumed.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on Wednesday, October 27, 2004, the Committee resumed its study of Recognition of the International Experience and Credentials of Immigrants.
 

Panel II.

Stelian George-Cosh, Rich Janzen, Jassy Narayan, Deborah Schlichter and Mazlun Sen made statements and answered questions.

 

At 3:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned until 8:00 a.m., Monday, April 18, 2005.
