The Subcommittee on Matters Related to the Review of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in camera at 12:10 p.m. this day, in Room 307 West Block, the Co-Chair, Derek Lee, presiding.

 

Members of the Subcommittee present: Paul Forseth, Derek Lee, Judy Sgro and Paul Szabo.

 

Acting Members present: Pat Martin for Libby Davies and Gilles-A. Perron for Robert Lanctôt.

 

In attendance: Library of Parliament: Jack Stilborn, Analyst.

 

Other Participants present: House of Commons: Gregory Tardi, Senior Legal Counsel; Rob Walsh, Law Clerk and Parliamentary Counsel.

 
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by the Committee on September 22, 2003, the Committee resumed its study of matters related to the Review of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
 

It was agreed, — That the draft report, as amended, be adopted.

 

It was agreed, — That the report be entitled: Matters Related to the Review of the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

 

It was agreed, — That the Chair, Clerk and researchers be authorized to make such grammatical and editorial changes as may be necessary without changing the substance of the report.

 

It was agreed, — That the in camera transcripts of the proceedings of this Subcommittee be made available to the Speaker, the Table and if necessary, to the public, at the discretion of the Speaker.

 

At 1:28 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
