MINUTES OF PROCEEDINGS
Meeting No. 1
Thursday, April 10, 2003
The Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure of the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in camera at 9:20 a.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Reg Alcock, presiding.
Members of the Sub-Committee present: Reg Alcock, Roy Cullen, Paul Forseth, Robert Lanctôt, Tony Tirabassi and Tony Valeri.
Other Members in attendance: Ken Epp, Raymonde Folco, Paul Szabo.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch, Library of Parliament: Jack Stilborn, Analyst.
The Sub-Committee met to discuss its Future Business.
It was agreed -- That the Committee request a written response to the letter of April 8, 2003, sent to the Director, Access to Information, of the Privy Council Office requesting specific documents, and that the response contain a detailed explanation as to why the Committee is being denied access to the documents requested.
It was agreed -- That before the Committee resumes Clause-by-Clause consideration of Bill C-25, in the week of April 28, 2003, the Committee invite the following individuals to appear:
- Donald Savoie
- Jim Mitchell
- Nicholas D’Ombrain
- Jocelyn Bourgeon
It was agreed -- That, following the completion of Clause-by-Clause proceedings on Bill C-25, in the time remaining before May 30, 2003, the Committee proceed to consideration of the Main Estimates.
At 10:45 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
