Wednesday, April 9, 2003
The Subcommittee on the Estimates Process of the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met at 5:45 p.m. this day, in Room 208, West Block, the Chair, Tony Valeri, presiding.
Members of the Subcommittee present: Gerry Ritz, Paul Szabo, Tony Tirabassi and Tony Valeri.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Philippe Le Goff, analyst; Jack Stilborn, analyst.
Witnesses: From the Department of Public Works and Government Services: Dan Ross, Associate Assistant Deputy Minister, Operations Branch; Carol Beal, Assistant Deputy Minister, Real Property Program Branch; Myra Conway, Director General, Finance.
Pursuant to the motion of the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates adopted November 26, 2002, the Subcommittee resumed its study to inquire into matters relating to the review of the process for considering the estimates and supply.
Dan Ross and Carol Beal made opening statements and answered questions.
It was agreed, - That the Chair be authorized to plan the next meeting of the Subcommittee when the House resumes sitting after the Easter break.
At 6:26 p.m., the Subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
