Meeting No. 3

Wednesday, February 26, 2003

The Subcommittee on the Estimates Process of the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met at 5:40 p.m. this day, in Room 371, West Block, the Co-Chair, Tony Valeri, presiding.

Members of the Subcommittee present: Paul Szabo, Tony Tirabassi and Tony Valeri.

Acting Members present: Paul Forseth for Gerry Ritz; Robert Lanctôt for Gilles-A. Perron.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Philippe Le Goff, Analyst; Jack Stilborn, Analyst.

Witnesses: From the Office of the Auditor General of Canada: Maria Barrados, Assistant Auditor General; John Mayne, Principal.

Pursuant to the motion of the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates adopted November 26, 2002, the Committee resumed its study to inquire into matters relating to the review of the process for considering the estimates and supply (See Minutes of Proceedings of Monday, February 24, 2003).

Maria Barrados made an opening statement and, with the other witness, answered questions.

At 6:20 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
