The Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates met in a televised session at 11:05 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Reg Alcock, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Reg Alcock, Carolyn Bennett, Roy Cullen, Raymonde Folco, Paul Forseth, Robert Lanctôt, Judy Sgro and Paul Szabo.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Jack Stilborn and Philippe LeGoff, Analysts.
Appearing: The Honourable Lucienne Robillard, President of the Treasury Board.
Witnesses: From the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat: Jim Judd, Secretary of the Treasury Board and Comptroller General of Canada; Richard J. Neville, Deputy Comptroller General.
Pursuant to Standing Order 81(4), the Committee commenced consideration of the Main Estimates 2003-2004: Votes 1,2,5,10 and 20 under TREASURY BOARD referred to the Committee on February 26, 2003.
The minister made a statement and, with other witnesses, answered questions.
At 12:54 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
