The Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights met in camera at 3:40 p.m. this day, in Room 701, La Promenade Building, the Chair, Hon. Andy Scott, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Chuck Cadman, Hon. Hedy Fry, Marlene Jennings, Derek Lee, Paul Harold Macklin, John Maloney, Richard Marceau, John McKay, Pat O'Brien, Joe Peschisolido, Hon. Andy Scott, Vic Toews.
Acting Member present: Svend Robinson for Hon. Lorne Nystrom.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Philip Rosen, senior analyst, Kristen Douglas, analyst.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumes its study on marriage and the legal recognition of same-sex unions.
The Committee discussed a Draft Report.
At 5:30 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
