The Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights met at 8:30 a.m. this day, in Vancouver at the Renaissance Vancouver Hotel Harbourside in the Harbourside Ballroom 1, the Chair, Hon. Andy Scott, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Chuck Cadman, Paul Harold Macklin, John Maloney, Richard Marceau, John McKay, Hon. Andy Scott, Vic Toews.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on marriage and the legal recognition of same-sex unions.

At 8:30 a.m., Lloyd Thornhill, Bob Peacock, Rob Hughes, Laurie Geschke and Virginia Kirkham made a statement and answered questions.

At 9:27 a.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 9:32 a.m., the sitting resumed.

Victor Yukmun Wong, Kevin Simpson, Dr. Donald Meen and Brad Moore made a statement and answered questions.
