The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology met at 3:19 p.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Walt Lastewka, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: André Bachand, Larry Bagnell, Paul Crête, Nick Discepola, Brian Fitzpatrick, Cheryl Gallant, Jocelyne Girard-Bujold, Walt Lastewka, Serge Marcil, Brian Masse, Dan McTeague, James Rajotte, Andy Savoy, Brent St. Denis, Paddy Torsney, Joseph Volpe.

Acting Members present: Christiane Gagnon for Paul Crête and Carolyn Parrish for Nick Discepola.

In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Geoffrey P. Kieley and Dan Shaw, Research Officers.

Witnesses: From the Government Relations Institute of Canada: Carole Presseault, President; John Scott, Representative.

Pursuant to its Order of Reference of Friday, October 25, 2002, the Committee resumed consideration of Bill C-15, An Act to amend the Lobbyists Registration Act (See Minutes of Proceedings, Thursday, November 21, 2002, Meeting No. 3).

Carole Presseault made an opening statement and, with John Scott, answered questions.

At 5:00 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
