The Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Judi Longfield, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Eugène Bellemare, John Finlay, Ovid Jackson, Judi Longfield, Gurbax Malhi, Monte Solberg and Diane St-Jacques.
Acting Member present: Sébastien Gagnon for Suzanne Tremblay.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Chantal Collin and Kevin Kerr, Research Officers.
Witness: From the Council of Ministers of Education (Canada): Dr. Paul Cappon, Director General.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on Literacy.
The witness made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 4:23 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
