The Standing Committee on Finance met at 3:38 p.m. this day, in Room 269, West Block, the Chair, Sue Barnes, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sue Barnes, Roy Cullen, Rahim Jaffer, Pierre Paquette, Gary Pillitteri, Tony Valeri, Judy Wasylycia-Leis, Bryon Wilfert.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: June Dewetering, Acting Principal Analyst; Blayne Haggart, Analyst.
Witnesses: From the Quebec School Boards Federation: André Caron, President; Yves St-Cyr, Legal Counsel. As Individual: Mr. Roger Tassé, Legal Counsel, Gowling, Lafleur and Henderson.
Pursuant to its Order of Reference of Tuesday, April 8, 2003, the Committee
resumed consideration of Bill C-28, An Act to implement certain provisions of
the budget tabled in Parliament on February 18, 2003 (See Minutes of
Proceedings, Wednesday, April 9, 2003, Meeting No. 51).
André Caron and Roger Tassé made a statement and with Yves St-Cyr answered questions.
At 5:15 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
