The Standing Committee on Transport and Government Operations met at 15h33 p.m. this day, in Room 308, West Block, the Chair, Ovid Jackson, presiding.

The Order of Reference dated Friday, March 16, 2001, being now read as follows:

ORDERED, -- That Bill C-14, An Act respecting shipping and navigation and to amend the Shipping Conferences Exemption Act, 1987 and other Acts be now read a second time and referred to the Standing Committee on Transport and Government Operations.

In accordance with this order of Reference, the committee began its consideration of Bill C-14.

Minister Collenette made a presentation and then answered questions.

At 5:36 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
