The Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met at 11:05 a.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Judi Longfield, presiding.
Member(s) of the Committee present: Eugène Bellemare, Raymonde Folco, Monique Guay, Dale Johnston, Judi Longfield, Gurbax Malhi, Joe McGuire, Larry Spencer, Diane St-Jacques and Alan Tonks.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Kevin Kerr, Julie Mackenzie and Bill Young, Research Officers.
Witness(es): From the Department of Human Resources Development Canada: Gerry Blanchard, Director General, Operations, Labour Branch; Neil Gavigan, Director, Labour Standards and Workplace Equity, Labour Branch; Helen Beck, Legal Services.
