The Standing Committee on Human Resources Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities met in a televised session at 11:14 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Peter Adams, presiding.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), a study on Canada Student Loans: Current Situation and Future Possibilities.

The Chair presented the Second Report of the Sub-Committee on Agenda and Procedure

SECOND REPORT

Your Steering Committee met on Tuesday, March 27, 2001 to plan its future business and has agreed to make the following recommendation:

That pursuant to the motion adopted, the Committee report on Employment Insurance before June 1st, 2001 and that before the House rises in June, the Committee hold meetings regarding the Canada Students Loans Program; study Estimates, inviting the relevant Ministers and met on the six point plan.

On motion of Val Meredith, the Second Report of the Sub-Committee on Agenda and Procedure was adopted.

On motion by Anita Neville, it was agreed, -- That the Summary of Evidence on C-2 prepared by the Library of Parliament be released to Department Officials to help them prepare for future meeting on Employment Insurance

At 1:34 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
