The Standing Committee on Finance met in a televised session at 9:37 a.m. this day, in Room 237-C, Centre Block, the Chair, Maurizio Bevilacqua, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sue Barnes, Carolyn Bennett, Maurizio Bevilacqua, Roy Cullen, Ken Epp, Albina Guarnieri, Sophia Leung, John McCallum, Shawn Murphy, Lorne Nystrom, Pauline Picard, Gary Pillitteri, Monte Solberg.
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Marc-André Pigeon, Researcher.
Witnesses: From Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance: David Paterson, Executive Director. From Canadian Animal Health Institute: Jean Szkotnicki, President. From Canadian Film and Television Production Association: Guy Mayson, Senior Vice-President, Operations and Membership Services; Elizabeth McDonald, President and Chief Executive Officer. From WEFA Canada Inc.: Dr. Dale Orr, Senior Vice-President, Chief Economist, Canadian Services.
In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 83(1), the Committee continued its study on Pre-Budget Consultations.
David Paterson, Jean Szkotnicki, Elizabeth McDonald, and Dr. Dale Orr made statements and answered questions.
At 11:07 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
