Tuesday, December 1st, 1998
The Standing Committee on National Defence and Veterans Affairs met at 3:30 p.m. this day, in Room 362, East Block, the Chair, Pat O'Brien, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Robert Bertrand, Hec Clouthier, Gordon Earle, Maurice Godin, Peter Goldring, Judi Longfield, Pat O'Brien, John O'Reilly, David Price, George Proud, John Richardson, Bob Wood.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Wolf Koerner and Grant Purves, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Royal Canadian Legion: Jim Rycroft, Director - Service Bureau; Allan Parks, Chairman, Veterans' Service and Seniors Committee.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its study on Veterans Issues.
The witnesses made opening statements and answered questions.
On motion of Hec Clouthier, it was agreed, - That the Committee authorise the Chair to seek a supplementary travel budget of $2,520.00 for its travel to Germany from January 24 to 31, 1999.
At 4:55 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
