The Standing Committee on Industry met in a televised session at 3:35 p.m. this day, in Room 253-D, Centre Block, the Chair, Susan Whelan, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Eugène Bellemare, Marlene Jennings, Jim Jones, Francine Lalonde, Walt Lastewka, Ian Murray, Jim Pankiw, Janko Peric, Alex Shepherd and Susan Whelan.
Other Members present: Rick Limoges and Tony Ianno.
In attendance: From the Library of Parliament: Daniel Brassard and Nathalie Pothier, Research Officers.
Witnesses: From the Canadian Bankers' Association: Kelly Shaughnessy, Independent Business Committee and Senior Vice-President, CIBC; Aron Gampel, Deputy Chief Economist, Bank of Nova Scotia; Alan Young, Vice-President, Policy.

Alan Young, Kelly Shaughnessy and Aron Gampel each made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 5:25 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
At 5:42 p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
