The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in camera at 9:10 a.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Bill Graham, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Sarkis Assadourian, Jean Augustine, André Bachand, Colleen Beaumier, John Cannis, Maud Debien, The Hon. Sheila Finestone, Bill Graham, Bernard Patry, Charlie Penson, Jerry Pickard, Julian Reed, Svend Robinson, Benoît Sauvageau, Bob Speller, Daniel Turp.
Acting Members present: Keith Martin for Bob Mills; Chuck Strahl for Darrel Stinson.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: James Lee; Gerald Schmitz, Researchers. From the Translation Bureau, Parliamentary Documents, Public Works and Government Services Canada: Michel Boissonneault, Translator.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its examination of Canada's policy on nuclear non-proliferation, arms control and disarmament. (See Minutes of Proceedings of February 3, 1998, Meeting No. 22.)
The Committee resumed consideration of a draft report.
At 10:56 a.m. o'clock, the sitting was suspended.
At 11:00 a.m. o'clock, the sitting was resumed.
At 12:07 p.m. o'clock, the Committee adjourned until 3:30 p.m. o'clock this day.
