THURSDAY, APRIL 2nd, 1998
The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 3:30 o’clock p.m., this day, in Room 237-C of the Centre Block, the Chair, Bill Graham, presiding.
Members of the Committee present: Maud Debien, Bill Graham, Julian Reed.
Acting Member: Keith Martin for Bob Mills.
In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: James Lee and Gerald Schmitz, Research Officers.
Witness: From the United Nations: H.E. Dr. Olara Otunno, UN Special Representative and Under-Secretary General on Children and Armed Conflict.
In accordance with its mandate under Standing Order 108(2), the Committee proceeded to meet with the Dr. Otunnu, UN Special Representative and Under-Secretary General on Children and Armed Conflict.
Dr. Olara Otunnu made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 3:52 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
