TUESDAY, OCTOBER 21, 1997

The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 4:17 o’clock p.m., this day, in room 208, West Block, the Chair, Bill Graham, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: Jean Augustine, John Cannis, Maud Debien, Bill Graham, Gurmant Grewal, Ted McWhinney, Julian Reed, Svend Robinson, Bob Speller, Daniel Turp.

In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: James Lee, Research Officer.

Delegation: Hon. Maria Emma Mejia Velez, Minister of Foreign Relations of Colombia.

In accordance with Standing Order 108(2), the Committee proceeded to meet with the Hon. Maria Emma Mejia Velez, Minister of Foreign Relations of Colombia.

The Minister made a statement and answered questions.

At 5:03 o’clock p.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
