Thursday, June 3, 1999

The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met in camera at 9:10 a.m. this day, in Room 209, West Block, the Chair, Bill Graham, presiding.

Members of the Committee present: André Bachand, Maud Debien, The Hon. Sheila Finestone, Bill Graham, Bernard Patry, Charlie Penson, Julian Reed, Benoît Sauvageau, Bob Speller and Daniel Turp.

Associate Member present: Bill Blaikie.

In attendance: From the Parliamentary Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Daniel Dupras; James Lee; Jean-Denis Fréchette, Gerald Schmitz and Daniel Shaw, Research Officers. Chris Maule and Roy Hines, Consultants.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), The Committee resumed its examination of Canada's trade objectives and the forthcoming agenda of the World Trade Organization (WTO). (See Minutes of Proceedings, of October 22, 1998. Meeting No. 73.)

The Committee resumed its consideration of a draft report.

At 11:00 a.m., the Committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
