The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met at 8:30 a.m. this day, in Room the Commonwealth Ballroom South of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Chair, Bill Graham, presiding.

Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2), the Committee resumed its examination of Canada's trade objectives and the forthcoming agenda of the World Trade Organization (WTO) and Canada's priority interests in the FTAA process. (See the Minutes of Proceedings, of October 22, 1998, Meeting no. 73).

At 10:38 a.m., the Honourable Harry Enns made an opening statement and answered questions.

At 12:58 p.m., the sitting was suspended.

At 1:40 p.m., the sitting resumed.
